Across five airings, the Network’s newest original movie installment reached 2.3 Million Unique Viewers 2+ in Premiere Window.

“It is thrilling to see that TV One has become a destination for compelling, inspirational, family films throughout the holiday season,” said D’Angela Proctor, SVP Original Programming and Production. “This year, the network has expand on our holiday offering to include the sequel A Royal Family Christmas, airing within a two week span of the original - first in network history – to unveil how the Royals band together for a Christmas experience filled with hijinks and lots of love.”

A Royal Family Christmas, premieres Saturday, December 5 at 8 p.m. ET. The Royal children, Phillip “Flip” (Romeo Miller), a good-looking spiritual guru; Austin (Eric Myrick III) a Washington, D.C. community activist running for Congress; Kelsey (Chelsea Tavares) a fashion designer’s gopher; and Pamela (Tequilla Whitfield) a hair and nail salon owner join forces to attempt to reunite their parents in time for Christmas.  They try every trick in the book – including “playing nice” and setting aside old sibling rivalries – only to learn their mom and dad are enjoying “the single life.” Their plan also goes awry as getting their parents back together ends up taking a back seat to their own personal and professional drama. Debbi Morgan (Power, All My Children), Richard Lawson (Real Husbands of Hollywood, All My Children), Vivica A. Fox (6 Ways to Die, Independence Day: Resurgence), Tichina Arnold (Survivor’s Remorse, Everybody Hates Chris, Martin) and Ricky Harris (Bones, Everybody Hates Chris) also star in the film.

A Royal Family Holiday and A Royal Family Christmas are directed by Lance Kawas (Paid in Full, Fractured), written by Rhonda Freeman-Baraka (To Hell and Back, For the Love of Ruth, Pastor Brown), and produced for TV One by producer George Shamieh and executive producer Chevonne O’Shaughnessy of American Cinema International. For TV One, Robyn Greene Arrington, vice president of original programming, serves as executive-in-charge of production and Lamar Chase as producer.  D’Angela Proctor is head of original programming for the network.
