Co-founder and C.E.O of American Cinema International
George Shamieh is co-founder and C.E.O. of American Cinema International. He previously served as President and partner of the established mini studio PM Entertainment for thirteen years. During his time at PM he successfully guided the company to a dominant position within the global marketplace. The company remained one of the few among the competitive world of independent filmmaking that consistently generated high quality Action Adventure feature films. The library of titles at PM boasted more than 150 feature films and two highly successful television series.
PM Entertainment gained a reputation as a leading, consistent supplier of original Prime Time product not only for its solid roster of international TV clients but also for the likes of such domestic cable giants as HBO. In fact, the company carried the distinction of being one of the first major suppliers of HBO World Premiere movies.
In 1995, George recognized the emerging international television market, and decided to capitalize on the company’s proven ability to deliver high production value in films and pass the knowledge down to a TV series entitled L.A. Heat. With George’s amassed knowledge of production in films, he was able to utilize his staff of in-house writers, directors, and other production professionals as well as state-of-the-art equipment and technology to generate finished product that looked and felt like feature films.
In 2000, George started American Cinema International and in less than three years, ACI produced 10 action/disaster films with international sales and domestic prime time broadcasts on USA, SyFy and HBO Premier. Among its successes, ACI has produced the highly-rated Jack Hunter trilogy, as well as the two-part miniseries The Search for El Dorado starring Shane West, Luke Goss, Natalie Martinez and Eldon Henson. In 2014 George produced the action-filled auto-racing film Born to Race: Fast Track starring Brett Davern, Beau Mirchoff, and Diogo Morgado.
George produced the successful Love Finds You series for Mission Pictures, starting with Love Finds you in Sugarcreek, which premiered on the UP Channel in June 2014 bringing in 2.2 million views, the channel’s strongest premiere in its history. Sugarcreek went on to win MovieGuide’s Epiphany Prize. With the follow up success of Love Finds You in Charm and delivering record breaking ratings for UP TV 2 years in a row, George produced a third film in the series, Love Finds You in Valentine, to air on the UP Channel on Valentine’s Day 2016.
To continue his tradition and success with uplifting stories, he has created ACI INSPIRES with Chevonne O’Shaughnessy which is the newest brand of inspirational entertainment.
